How Our Custom Build Process Works (Shipping Us Your Lights)

Custom lighting isn't an off the shelf product, it's built for your car, by hand. If you've never ordered a custom build before, here's exactly how it works from start to finish, so there are no surprises.

Step 1: Place your order

When you order, you're locking in your spot in our build queue. Full payment is taken at checkout to hold that slot, and if you'd rather spread it out, Klarna and PayPal Pay Later are both available at checkout (those services handle the installments on their own schedule).

Step 2: Send us your lights (or buy a fresh set from us)

Most builds use your existing headlights or taillights. Here's the part people love: you don't need to ship them immediately. The timeframe you're quoted places you in the queue, and we'll reach out when your build slot is getting close to tell you when to ship them in. That keeps your car on the road with its lights installed for as long as possible.

Don't want to take yours apart at all? You can buy a brand new set from us to build on instead, either OEM or a quality aftermarket brand, and keep your original lights on the car the whole time.

Step 3: We build it

Once your lights reach us, the actual build typically takes about 3 to 7 business days depending on the work involved. This is the fun part, where your switchback, sequential, RGB, or demon eye setup comes together by hand. Not sure what those mean? Start with our headlight stages guide.

Step 4: Back to you, ready to install

We ship your finished set back to you, packed carefully and ready to go. Most of our builds install in well under an hour with basic hand tools, and they come with what you need to get them in.

How long does it all take?

Total lead time usually runs anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks, depending on the season, the type of build, and whether you're shipping your lights in. Custom work during busy seasons takes longer, and we'll always give you a realistic timeframe up front.

Good to know

• Made to order. Because every set is built to your specs, custom orders are non refundable after the 24 hour cancellation window. Orders canceled within that window may be subject to a restocking fee.
• 1 year warranty. Every set is covered on labor, LEDs, ballasts, and paint. If something stops working from a workmanship or component issue, ship it back and we'll make it right.
• Worldwide shipping. We ship internationally. For international orders, message us directly for the most accurate rate.
