From a single car garage to thousands of builds.
Ever since I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with taking things apart and figuring out how they worked, especially automotive lighting and electronics. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a passion. In 2009, I launched Yunique LED, originally offering custom gauge LED conversions. But in 2011, the version of Yunique LED people know today was truly born.
After buying my 2006 Nissan 350z, I wanted headlights that felt different from anything else on the road. I couldn’t find exactly what I envisioned, so I decided to build my own, working out of a single car garage in Southern California. At first, it was just for me. Then a few friends wanted sets of their own.
Word spread fast. One car became three. Three became thirty. Before long, Yunique LED was building custom lighting setups for enthusiasts across the country. Now, over fifteen years later, we’ve shipped thousands of custom-built headlights and taillights to customers in every state and dozens of countries around the world, all while staying true to where we started.
Like any small business built from the ground up, there were plenty of mistakes along the way. Some lessons were expensive, some frustrating, and some only came after long nights in the garage trying to figure out what went wrong. But every challenge made me and my team better. Every setback taught us something new. Over the years, that constant trial, error, and improvement became one of the biggest reasons Yunique LED grew into what it is today.
Our lights are not mass produced. We don’t import generic housings and throw our logo on them. Every set is hand built, tested, and assembled with attention to detail right here in Southern California. Before anything leaves our bench, it’s inspected to make sure it meets the standard we’d expect on our own vehicles.
And if something ever goes wrong, we stand behind our work with a full one-year warranty. No runaround. No excuses. You send it back, and we make it right.
Thank you for being part of the journey.
